Remember When opened in May 28, 2005 and we are currently taking reservations.
It is housed in a large mid 19th century brick home in New Berlin, New York (click for map). For almost 40 years, from 1935 to 1970, the building also served as the hospital for our town.
Within the building, on the first floor, is a café serving homemade muffins, bagels, quiches and yogurt parfaits and other homemade goodies. Great coffees and teas and scrumptious desserts are also on the menu. Our motto is “Eat dessert first!” In the summer we also serve a Mocha Freeze and three flavors of fruitea smoothies.
The café is filled with stained glass lamps, antiques, and very unique furnishings. One can relax in an armchair by the fireplace or sit in a church pew in the back parlor. The café also has an outdoor deck with tables and umbrellas for relaxing with that cup of "joe," enjoying your own “tea for one,” or just reading the local newspapers enjoying the quiet of a quaint upstate New York small town.
The first floor also houses an antique shop where you’re bound to find something you can’t live without.
We have three guest rooms upstairs with more to come after further renovation this winter. Two of the rooms have private baths and the third room can be rented with one of the others by couples traveling together who don’t mind sharing a bath, or extended families that need an extra room to accommodate children, traveling companions, etc.
